When the show was over, Katelyn asked when we were going again. I told her it wasn't like a movie that we could see over & over, and that because of the cost we wouldn't be able to see the show again. She started to cry. I guess you could say she LOVED the show!!! We did purchase the "Mary Poppins" CD and still listen to it in the car almost every day. Katelyn has memorized every song on the CD & is able to relive the play through the music. The title of this blog is her favorite song (an original score for the play, but is not in the movie version). Another souvenier we purchased is a reprint of the original book "Mary Poppins" by P.L. Travers(1st printing 1934) which we have enjoyed reading together.
After the play, we took Katelyn to eat at "The Old Spaghetti Factory" for her first time. It's a really fun place for kids & the food is delicious!
I will cherish the memories of this evening spent together for the rest of my life.
Photo-Op before we left for the play~
Of course Katelyn insisted on taking another picture with one of her dogs!!!
